Location: RSPCA Brisbane Animal Care Campus

Rate: $35.15 per hour + super (as per the General Retail Industry Award)

As an Op Shop Furniture & Delivery Driver, you’ll do more than transport goods - you’ll help turn community donations into life-changing funds for animal welfare. Every piece of furniture you collect or deliver plays a part in supporting the thousands of animals that come through our doors each year.

Please note: This is a casual, leave coverage role.

What we’re looking for

We’re after someone who’s hands-on, reliable, and thrives in a fast-moving, people-focused role. You’re the kind of person who gets satisfaction from a job well done - whether that’s a safely loaded truck or a smile from a grateful donor.

What you’ll do

In this role, you will:

• Collect donated furniture from homes and businesses with care and professionalism
• Deliver goods to our Op Shops and customers across Brisbane
• Assist with loading, unloading, and keeping the truck organised
• Provide warm, helpful customer service to our donors, customers, and shop teams
• Work closely with your teammates to keep things running smoothly - including supervising and training others when needed
• Keep safety front of mind in every task
• Embrace and promote a proactive safety culture, participating in all safety initiatives
• Be a proud ambassador of RSPCA Queensland everywhere you go

What you’ll bring to the role

• A current manual driver’s licence (LR or higher is a bonus, but not essential)
• Experience in furniture removal, delivery, or a similar hands-on role
• A friendly, customer-first attitude and strong communication skills
• Confidence working independently and using your initiative
• Physical fitness and the ability to safely lift and move furniture
• A love for animals and a desire to contribute to a meaningful cause
• A punctual, can-do approach and pride in representing RSPCA Queensland

Please note, shortlisted applicants will be required to undertake a driving assessment.
