Did you know that our partnership with Containers for Change makes it easier than ever to make a positive difference to the environment and all creatures great and small?

98,777 containers have been collected and donated to RSPCA Queensland by our animal loving supporters to Containers for Change Exchange Depots. The community collections have raised $9,877.70 to date!

Container Exchange (COEX) is a not-for-profit organisation created to establish and run the Containers for Change scheme in Queensland. They focus on reducing litter, increasing recycling efforts and helping communities benefit through paying refunds to individuals, charities and community groups.

Did you know that it takes just 11 containers to help provide feed to one koala in our care, 15 to provide essentials for a guinea pig and 25 to help fill a puppy's belly?

Our Community Fundraising Officer Estelle encourages animal welfare supporters to help out if they have bottles to donate.

"To donate your refunds to us when depositing at a Containers for Change Exchange Depot, download the Containers for Change QLD app on Google Play or the App Store, search 'RSPCA' in the app, then scan the RSPCA member number on the app when depositing your containers at an exchange depot."

"You can save the RSPCA member number and barcode to your digital wallet for easy access and use the member number C10242545 for community collections."

Can't get to a Containers for Change Depot to donate? Container Collect is a Containers for Change free home collection service. You can check to see if its available in your area on their App or website.

At our Brisbane RSPCA Animal Care Campus you can also find Containers for Change donation bins. Implemented in August, the RSPCA team collects funds from all containers used on campus by visitors, volunteers and staff.

Spot the green Containers for Change bins at our Black Cat Café, Adoption Centre and Op Shop when you visit and help make a difference.

Since August, our onsite program has saved 4,744 containers from landfill with more containers being collected on site every day. Also, every drink bottle sold at our Black Cat Café can be recycled into the Containers for Change bins.

Remember to nominate RSPCA QLD as your charity of choice! Together we can have a positive impact on our planet and our animals.
