Dog Parks Re-Open Across Queensland

Dogs Pets Posted Dec 15, 2020
Stuck inside with 'Cabin Fever’? Need to get out and about this weekend with your favourite four-legged friend?

Well thankfully now you can, as the majority of off-the leash dog parks have now reopened across Queensland!

Dog Parks have been given the green light ahead of many other council facilities, such as playgrounds and gym equipment, as they have a lower risk of transmission.

Brisbane City Council’s Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner said the go-ahead was given for all off the leash dog parks to reopen in Brisbane after consultation with Queensland’s Chief Health Officer, Jeannette Young.

The team at PatchPets have reached out to many of the other local council’s across the state to confirm which councils have now reopened their dog parks in light of the relaxation of the state’s social distancing directive.

You can find your closest dog parks, pet businesses and other friendly fur friends, by downloading the Free PatchPets App for Apple iOS or Google Android.

Don’t forget to check for signs on gates and entries to ensure park areas are able to be used.
