Posted Apr 5, 2020
The RSPCA’s educational and interactive game is bringing awareness about egg farms to the next generation.
Cheeky Chooks is an educational game about egg farming and the importance of layer hen welfare. It was created as part of the RSPCA’s Humane Food campaign, which included many other educational resources, such as short videos, posters, and other paper games and activities, all about animal farming in Australia.
Designed specifically for teachers, educators and parents, Cheeky Chooks helps kids understand where their food comes from and why farm animal welfare is important. Cheeky Chooks has been created for children aged between 9 and 13 however the gameplay and aesthetic appeals to larger audiences as well!
Learn what life is like as an egg farmer and how to keep their chickens happy and healthy with Cheeky Chooks. Players build and expand their farms to keep their hens happy. There are upgrades such as, coops, perches, barns and even theme park rides. The various levels are designed to keep up with the fast paced world of egg farming while remaining sustainable and ethical (otherwise the unhappy chickens will leave your farm and you’ll go bankrupt!).
