Pet Boarding & Home Alone

Please read our boarding terms below prior to enquiring about boarding your pet with RSPCA. Pet owners are welcome to bring clean bedding and toys for their pet; if pet owners do not bring these items, they will be supplied by the RSPCA. RSPCA will provide boarded pets with wet and dry food from available supply, if your pet is on a special diet, we ask you bring in their own food. It is helpful to keep pets on familiar feeding plans.

Our boarding facilities operate 7 days per week from 10am – 4pm (except on public holidays). Check-in and collection times are between 10am - 12pm and 2pm - 4pm every day.

Per-night boarding fees, effective 1 July 2025*, are as follows:

• Dogs - Weekdays: $34
• Dogs - Weekends and Public Holidays: $39
• Cats - Weekdays: $29
• Cats - Weekends and Public Holidays: $34
• Guinea pigs and birds (flat rate): $10
• Day boarding: $20
• Owner provided medication surcharge: $3

Book pet boarding

Our boarding facilities are ideally located just 10 minutes' drive from the Cairns international airport, and operate 7 days per week. Check-in is between 12pm - 4pm Monday to Saturday, and 12pm - 2pm on Sunday. Check out is before 12pm or additional charges apply.

Book pet boarding

Our Toowoomba Animal Care Centre offers state-of-the-art boarding facilities, which operate 7 days per week from 10am - 4pm. Dogs will enjoy raised bedding, underfloor heating in winter, and large pens where they cannot see or interact with other dogs. During the mornings and afternoons they will enjoy grassed exercise time. Cats can enjoy temperature-controlled floor to ceiling enclosures with plenty of shelving and an outdoor balcony where they can lounge, but not see or interact with any other cats, Classical music will play throughout the day.

Book pet boarding

Your contact details including phone numbers, email and the address where your pet will be located. We will also need to know your pet’s details like breed, colour, age and gender. We will also need the contact details for your pet’s care giver while you’re away.
