Your job will be to liaise with our horse foster carers throughout the state, order hay and feed, organise farriers and vets, arrange transportation, coordinate health care treatments, submit invoices for payment and process new horse foster carer candidates by assessing their application forms and organising property checks with our volunteer checkers and RSPCA Inspectors.  It’s very much an administrative role with lots of emails, phone calls and use of our Sheltermate database.

We need someone who can "talk the talk" when it comes to horses.  Someone who is horse-knowledgeable so that you can speak to the foster carers on their level.

Currently the RSPCA has 21 horses in foster throughout Queensland and over 100 applicants to foster horses (we recently conducted a media campaign, asking for more horse foster carers).  So we need your help!

We’re really seeking a volunteer who will stay long term.  Choose whether you want to work morning or afternoon each Monday and Thursday.

This is an exciting role that really makes a difference in the lives of many horses.  We look forward to you joining the foster care team.

N.B. Must love cats!  Yes, cats. Your office houses several cats, you need to be non-allergic and cat-friendly.

So join a dedicated and passionate team and make a real difference in the lives of many animals.

This position requires two days/week Monday and Thursday. You are able to choose if you would like to volunteer in the morning or the afternoon.
