A portrait of Ash Barty will raise much needed funds for RSPCA Qld. Painted by renowned sports and portrait artist Brett Belot, the portrait captures the World No I Women’s tennis player in full flight and is up for auction on Ebay.

The original portrait and Certificate of Authenticity have been personally signed by Ash, creating a one-of-a-kind, highly desirable piece of sporting memorabilia.

Ash is a passionate ambassador for RSPCA Qld and has 4 dogs of her own.

”I hope my involvement, whether helping raise awareness for key issues or giving my time, can contribute in some small way to the great work the RSPCA Qld team do.” She said.

RSPCA Qld’s wildlife hospital is the largest in the southern hemisphere and handles over 26,000 native animals and birds a year. Ash is only too aware of the enormous challenges faced by the hospital’s staff and volunteers.

“The portrait truly captures Ash’s fierce determination and competitive spirit, but when she’s in the hospital you really glimpse her softer side. She genuinely cares about the plight of our native wildlife,” said RSPCA Qld spokesperson Michael Beatty.

“Ash is the women’s world number one tennis player, a champion athlete, and her achievements on and off the court continue inspire people all around the world to follow their dreams” said Mr Belot.

Mr Belot’s original artworks and fine art prints hang in many private and public collections in Australia and overseas.
