This rewarding volunteer position involves driving the RSPCA OP Shop truck, collecting donated items from the local area and delivering furniture to the customer once purchased. There could also be odd jobs/errands that need to be done. As the number of driving jobs vary depending on the day any successful applicants will be required to assist in the sorting section at the Op Shop while not out in the vehicle.
Please note that this role does involve heavy lifting. The successful applicant needs to hold an open manual drivers licence.
We are looking for a volunteer that can commit to 1 full day per week (Monday, Wednesday or Friday) 9am – 4pm for a minimum of 3 months.
We will provide you with the necessary training and orientation for this volunteer role.
Skills required – Need to be physically fit, able to lift 10 kgs. Have the ability to work both independently and part of a team. A reasonable knowledge of the Gympie area and surrounds would be beneficial.
Skills to be gained – Basic distribution and warehousing skills.
