This role involves working with our Rehoming and Rescue Network Coordinator at Wacol assisting in the coordination of property checks, transfers of animals between internal and external local shelters, councils rescue groups and advertising animals available for rescue on social media amongst other tasks.

Vacancies across the week. We require a commitment of one shift (4hrs) per week for a minimum of 3 months. Full orientation and training is provided.

PLEASE NOTE: As part of volunteering with us you will be required to purchase an RSPCA Volunteer T-shirt for $30. It is also a requirement that before handling animals at the RSPCA you have an up to date Tetanus vaccination.

Skills required – Good organisational skills, good phone manner, ability to take initiative and basic computer skills.

Skills to be gained – Knowledge and understanding of RSPCA QLD from an operational level.

Volunteer characteristics required – Someone who is outgoing, friendly, committed and reliable.
