RSPCA op shops provide vital help to all creatures great and small by generating funds for RSPCA Qld. The Volunteer Supervisor role is responsible for the effective management of Gympie Op Shop.

What skills and characteristics do I need?

Retail experience, please provide a resume

Good team work and people skills

Friendly, confident and outgoing

The ability to work both independently and as a part of a team

Good communication skills

Physically fit and able to lift 10kg 

What are the tasks?

Responsible for conducting the daily operation of the Op Shop

Communicating, interacting, encouraging and supporting volunteers

Facilitating a safe and healthy working and shopping environment for customers, volunteers and staff

Assist customers in making purchases

Sorting and pricing stock

Cash handling, using an EFTPOS machine and cash register

Receiving incoming donations

When can I volunteer?

The position requires the successful applicant to commit to 1-2 days each week on Tuesdays and every second Saturday. All applicants must be available for a minimum of 3 months. Full orientation and training is provided.

PLEASE NOTE: As part of volunteering with us you will be required to purchase an RSPCA Volunteer T-shirt for $30. It is also a requirement you have an up to date Tetanus vaccination.
