Volunteer Foster Carer (Dog or Cat)

The Foster Care Program is a vital part of the RSPCA. As Gladstone does not have a shelter facility, all animals are placed with Foster homes in the region until they find permanent home.

We are currently looking for foster carers for medium to large size dogs,  puppies, cats and/or kittens.

You must have a fully fenced and secure yard, your own animals must be healthy, friendly and sociable. Cats must be kept indoors at all times. You must be able to assist with transport to/from vet appointments or monthly adoption events.

RSPCA Gladstone works along-side Gladstone Regional Council and foster carers are permitted to have a foster animal in addition to their council-approved dogs and cats. All vetting, treatments and food is provided by the RSPCA. You nominate which animal/s you would like to foster.

Temporary / Holiday carers are also required over the Christmas and Easter periods!
