This rewarding volunteer position involves assisting the RSPCA OP Shop truck driver at our West Burleigh Op Shop, by collecting donated items from the local area and delivering furniture to customers once purchased. There could also be odd jobs/errands that need to be done. As the number of driving jobs vary depending on the day any successful applicants will be required to assist in the sorting section at the Op Shop while not out in the vehicle. 

Skills required – Need to be physically fit and able to lift 10 kgs as this role involves heavy lifting,  the ability to work both independently and as a part of a team. 

Skills to be gained – Basic distribution and warehousing skills.

When can I volunteer? Shifts are available Monday to Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm. We ask for a commitment of one shift a week for a minimum of 3 months. We will provide you with the necessary training and orientation for this volunteer role. 

PLEASE NOTE: As part of volunteering with us you will be required to purchase an RSPCA Volunteer T-shirt for $30. It is also a requirement you have an up to date Tetanus vaccination.
