Beautiful Odin didn’t have the best start to life. At just 3 months old, he was found roaming all alone in Kilcoy on the highway. A good Samaritan stopped to help poor Odin and drove him down to our Brisbane RSPCA Animal Emergency Hospital for treatment.  Odin's left eye had suffered significant trauma which left it protruding from his eye socket. Sadly because his injury was left untreated for at least a week, his eye was so severely infected that it couldn’t be saved. Our RSPCA vets removed his eye that day and checked him over for any other injuries. Odin was malnourished, flea ridden and terrified when he was first found.

Odin went into a loving foster care home post-surgery for 10 days. Despite his ordeal, after some much needed TLC and treatment, Odin’s beautiful nature was shining through and he was back to acting like a normal puppy in no time! He won many hearts at the RSPCA and it wasn’t long after that Odin found his furever family in Maddy and Shaun. Odin is very much loved in his new home and enjoys going on outings every weekend with his new parents.

Odin will be walking at our RSPCA Million Paws walk this year to show his support for other RSPCA animals in need and currently in our care. You can meet Hero Dog Odin there!
