Learn dog body language
While our canine companions can’t speak to us verbally, we can learn a lot about what they are saying through body language.

Meet Vinnie!
Vinnie is a gentle, sensitive boy who is still finding his confidence in the shelter environment. When first approached, he may give a small hiss to let you know he's feeling unsure, but he settles quickly and responds well to calm, patient interactions. Once comfortable, Vinnie happily returns soft blinks and enjoys gentle pats.
The way to Vinnie's heart is definitely through food. He absolutely loves roast chicken and eagerly finished an entire tube of treat paste, showing he's highly food-motivated and likely to bond well with people who offer tasty rewards and positive experiences.
Vinnie appreciates having a safe space to retreat to when he feels overwhelmed. He readily settled into a box hide when encouraged with some chicken, showing he gains confidence when given secure places to relax and observe his surroundings.
Vinnie is looking for a patient home that will allow him to settle in at his own pace. With gentle handling, plenty of tasty treats, and a quiet place to call his own, this sweet boy is sure to continue blossoming into a loving companion.
