Learn dog body language
While our canine companions can’t speak to us verbally, we can learn a lot about what they are saying through body language.

Arnie is a sweet and gentle older gentleman looking for a calm, understanding home where he can enjoy the quieter side of life. While he may be a little worried when faced with new people, places or loud environments, with patience and support he forms strong bonds and loves spending time with his family.
Arnie would thrive in a relaxed household that can give him plenty of time to settle in and build confidence at his own pace. He isn't the type of dog who will enjoy busy dog parks, bustling markets or crowded cafés. Instead, he would much rather spend his days exploring peaceful walking trails, relaxing at home, and enjoying quality time with his favourite people. Indoor and outdoor access will help Arnie feel comfortable and give him the freedom to choose where he wants to be.
Don't let his age fool you, Arnie still has a playful side! He loves chasing a ball, showing off his catching skills, and spending time playing with toys in the backyard. He's also very food motivated and enjoys sniffing games and enrichment activities, making him a great candidate for positive reinforcement training and confidence-building exercises.
Arnie is looking for a home with dog-savvy teenagers who can understand and respect his body language. He can be sensitive about close handling and will benefit from a patient, fear-free approach both at home and during veterinary visits. He may also enjoy sharing his home with a calm, social canine companion who can help show him that the world isn't such a scary place. With a caring family by his side, Arnie is sure to become a loyal and loving companion.
