Ted's Story

🧸 Meet Ted - Your Very Own Teddy Bear! 🧸

Just like a treasured teddy bear, Ted is a handsome young fellow who's looking for a special family to help him feel safe, loved, and right at home. While he's still learning about the world around him, this sweet boy has all the ingredients needed to become a loyal best friend and constant source of comfort.

Ted is searching for a family who can help him build confidence through gentle guidance, patience, and plenty of positive experiences. Much like a young teddy bear finding his place on the shelf, he'll thrive with a consistent routine and kind-hearted people who allow him to learn at his own pace.

With encouragement, structure, and lots of positive reinforcement, Ted is sure to come out of his shell and show just how wonderful he can be. Watching him grow in confidence and discover new things will be one of the most rewarding parts of welcoming him into your family.

For his comfort and success, Ted is best suited to a home with children aged 12 years and over, where life is a little calmer and more predictable. He is also not suited to living with small pets, cats, or poultry. Instead, he'd much prefer the company of another friendly, social dog who can be his cuddle buddy and confidence coach.

Ted may not arrive as the finished product, but with a little patience and a lot of love, he'll become the kind of companion who's always there to brighten your day, offer comfort after a tough one, and remind you that the best things in life are soft, warm, and full of love.

If you're looking for a cuddly companion with a heart as big as a teddy bear, Ted could be the perfect addition to your family. ❤️🐾🧸

What should I feed my dog?

Your dog's diet should be based on a high-quality, balanced premium commercial dog food that is suited to their specific life stage (puppy, adolescent, adult, pregnant, senior) and health condition.

The amount of food your dog needs will depend on factors like their size, breed, age, and activity level. However, it’s important not to overfeed or underfeed. Your vet can weigh your dog, assess their body condition score, and offer feeding recommendations.

To prevent bloat, which can be life-threatening, adult dogs should be fed at least twice a day and should not engage in exercise right before or after meals. This is especially important for deep-chested breeds like Boxers and German Shepherds.

Make sure fresh drinking water is always available. Do not give your dog milk as it can lead to gastrointestinal issues.

Should I feed bones to my dog?

Bones offer dogs nutrients and mental stimulation while helping remove tartar from their teeth. However, bones can also break teeth, cause blockages, and carry harmful bacteria. Consider these factors to make an informed decision for your pet and family’s wellbeing.

Dental chews are a good alternative if you wish to provide your pet with entertainment that assists with teeth cleaning. Visit RSPCA World for Pets for a range of quality dental chews for your dog.
