Meow! I'm Midnight. I'm searching for a quite, calm forever home with people who have had experience with cats before.
New places are a bit scary for me, and I might need a little bit of time to settle in. It'd be great if I could start out in a small launch room that can be my "safe space" while I get to know you. Sit with me quietly and give me some gentle pats - I'll be smooching to you for more in no time! Once we bond you can start letting me out into more and more of the house. If I'm feeling a bit nervous in larger spaces I'll stick by your side - it'd be nice if you could escort me around and give me a few gentle pats to encourage me. I feel more confident once I have a trusted human to hold my hand (paw) and help me find my brave!
I have lived with other cats before, and get along with gentle, respectful cats once I settle in. But because I'm a shy kind of girl, I find it a bit scary making friends at first - take it nice and slow introducing me to any other cats in the home to help me make a good first impression! I'd prefer not to live with children or dogs... they're just too noisy and scary for me! I also need to be an indoor cat because the outside world is way too daunting (and I've had cat flu). I'd much rather stay inside where it's safe with you.
Although I'm a bit of a wallflower, once I bond with you, you'll find that I follow you around like a little shadow and might decide to cuddle up with you in bed on cold evenings. I like to be helpful - if you're putting things away I'll check the drawers and cupboards etc to make sure there's adequate catpacity! I also have quite a playful side once I settle in! My favorite game is to chase and pounce on wand toys that you drag along the ground. And if you're not around, I'm happy to play by myself - balls I can bat around and chase are so much fun! I do enjoy a good scratch and climb on the cat tower. And I love to curl up in lots of different pet beds (I may have stolen a few of my foster sister's favorite spots)!
