Who are our volunteers?
We currently have over 1300 volunteers throughout Queensland working in all areas of the Society's operations.
With only approximately 180 paid staff for the whole state, our volunteers are the backbone of the organisation…and without them RSPCA Qld wouldn't exist!

Why do people volunteer?
People volunteer with the RSPCA Queensland because they:
- want to make a difference
- admire the work of RSPCA QLD
- would like to meet new people
- would like to learn or practice new skills
- want to contribute to their communities
- would like to learn new skills or improve old skills to assist with re-entering the workforce
