As a Volunteer Op Shop assistant, you will be assisting our customers with their purchases and undertaking general retail duties. This position would suit a person who wants to help out in their local community and also those wishing to help raise funds as part of a thriving fundraising group for a very worthwhile cause.

What are the tasks?
Assist customers in making purchases
Sorting and pricing stock
Cash handling, using an EFTPOS machine and cash register
Receiving incoming donations
What skills and characteristics do I need?
Good team work and people skills
Confident and outgoing
The ability to work both independently and as a part of a team
Good communication skills
Physically fit and able to lift 10kg
When can I volunteer?
The position requires the successful applicant to attend one shift on a weekly basis. All applicants must be available for a minimum of 3 months. AM, PM and all day shifts are available. Full orientation and training is provided.
PLEASE NOTE: As part of volunteering with us you will be required to purchase an RSPCA Volunteer T-shirt for $25. It is also a requirement you have an up to date Tetanus vaccination.
