This role involves coordinating our very busy reception desk at the centre. Tasks include greeting customers, assisting with data entry, answering the phones and other general office administration tasks. We are looking for mature people with administration and customer service experience, who have the time to commit to volunteering each week at the adoption centre. 

This role is available Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri, Sat and Sun, 10am - 5pm. Initial training for the role would be done between 10am - 2pm on a day organised with the manager. Due to the amount of training involved with this role, we ask for a commitment of at least one full day per week for a minimum of 3 months. Full orientation and training is provided.

Skills required – Excellent communication skills. Computer literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and Database entry. Ability to work independently, take initiative and multitask.

Skills to be gained – Knowledge of the RSPCA. Experience with various administrative duties and further develop customer service skills. Learning to interact with all our animals and spending quality enrichment time with the animals and saving lives!

PLEASE NOTE: As part of volunteering with us you will be required to purchase an RSPCA Volunteer T-shirt for $25. It is also a requirement that before handling animals at the RSPCA you have an up to date Tetanus vaccination.
