RSPCA Qld welcomes the decision to appeal against greyhound trainer, Tom Noble's inadequate animal cruelty sentence.

Greyhound trainer, Thomas Adrian Noble was sentenced for 3 years for 15 counts of animal cruelty on 6th September 2016 by Ipswich District Court judge Alexander Horneman-Wren but suspended the sentencing due to ill-health and family trauma.

A statement released yesterday from the Attorney-General and Minister for Justice has instructed the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions to appeal against the sentence. The appeal is on the grounds that the decision to suspend the sentence was manifestly inadequate.
