In an ideal world there would be no need for the RSPCA. Sadly, of course, our world is far from ideal and the need for the RSPCA is greater than ever before.

Keeping the public informed about the work we do is vital to raising awareness of animal welfare issues.  It is also important to us that we keep our supporters updated on how their kind donations are spent, including:

·         Rescuing animals

·         Re-homing animals

·         Prosecuting acts of animal cruelty and neglect

·         Educating children and adults about animal welfare and simple humanity

Without the ongoing assistance of the media this would be impossible. We enjoy a close working relationship with journalists in all facets of broadcast and newspaper journalism and this helps us tremendously in raising awareness about animal welfare issues.
