Pet Legacy

Bequest Program   Pet Legacy Program   Adopt a Legacy Animal   Wording of Wills

Have you ever wondered what will happen to your pets when you die?

The RSPCA’s Pet Legacy Program offers peace of mind to people concerned about care for their pets following their death.

As members of the Pet Legacy Program, your pets will be taken into the protection of the RSPCA and will be given the very best of care when that time comes. We then use our records of your pets’ likes, dislikes, history and personalities to match them with a suitable new home. In situations where there is more than one pet, we endeavour, where possible, to keep them together.

Legacy pets are kept together whenever possible. This offers them comfort and helps them settle in to their new home.

After your pets move into their new home, the RSPCA maintains regular contact with their new owners and also offers a moderate level of free veterinary care for the lifetime of the animals.

In many cases, the RSPCA can also provide a foster care service to Pet Legacy Program members during times of illness.

If you are leaving a bequest to the RSPCA in your will and wish to contact us, we will be happy to enroll you on the Pet Legacy Program.

For more information on the Program or to enroll your pet in the Program, contact the RSPCA Bequest Officer on 07 3426 9937 or click here to email.
