Adopt a Legacy Animal Bequest Program   Pet Legacy Program   Adopt a Legacy Animal   Wording of Wills The RSPCA becomes the temporary home of a Legacy Program pet following the death of its owner. The animal undergoes a veterinary examination and we then initiate a special program to find the best possible home, using important and detailed Pet Legacy database information previously supplied by its owner. This information, which includes details of feeding and veterinary requirements, is critical in matching the pet with a new family. All potential new homes are evaluated by the RSPCA. To assist new owners with their important responsibility and to help maintain the health of the legacy animal, we offer a moderate level of free basic Veterinary care for their lifetime. Many Legacy pets are older and most are experiencing a natural grieving process. They need lots of loving care and attention and often all it needs to help establish new bonds is a caring friend, time and lots of love. From our extensive experience, the RSPCA has found that most legacy pets make ideal companions.
