Awareness Week
AWARENESS WEEK 2006
‘It’s up to you’
RSPCA Awareness Week (1-8 October) is a chance to celebrate the joy, compassion and understanding that animals bring to our world.
Awareness Week has the dual purpose of raising awareness and much-needed funds for the many valuable services RSPCA Queensland provides to the community through a week long program of fun events and activities throughout the state of Queensland.
This year we are counting on your help to celebrate the joy that animals bring to our lives and help bring awareness to the vital role the RSPCA plays in your community.
You can help support RSPCA Awareness Week in a variety of ways and by doing so help us to give a second chance to thousands of animals in need who will come into the care of RSPCA this year.
How can I help?
There are many ways you, your friends, your school and colleagues and work place can support RSPCA Queensland during Awareness Week.
· Volunteer for the 2006 RSPCA Queensland Doorknock Appeal in your local area. Click here for more information. Click here to download the registration form.
· The Road Home - Summer Rehoming Campaign - commencing November 1 and concluding February 28, RSPCA Queensland aims to re-home as many animals as possible across the state.
If you are thinking about buying a pet for your family (or know someone who is in this position), we ask that you consider giving a loving home to one of our beautiful animals. Click here for more information.
· Adopt-A-Thon - on Saturday October 7, RSPCA Shelters across the state will be holding an Adopt-A-Thon with which we hope to rehome a record number of animals in one day. To achieve this, all Shelters will be open extended trading hours:
