Despite the recent 7.30 Report on "pig dogging", a Courier Mail article has reported that "Katter's Australian Party calls on national parks to be opened for recreational hunters to help eradicate feral animals.
RSPCA Qld is opposed to any suggestion of recreational hunting in National Parks. We recognise that feral animals and introduced species are proving a major threat to our environment and this is something that governments at all levels and persuasions have ignored for years.
While we support the control of these animals it must be done using the most humane methods possible in order to minimise suffering. Recreational hunting will achieve none of these aims. So please, take the time to
