RSPCA Qld Board Member Corrie Verbeeten

Corrie Verbeeten

Corrie has worked in administration roles throughout her career, mostly with Government.  For a brief period Corrie worked in conservation, both voluntary and paid positions, with the then Australian Littoral Society in a variety of roles, including re-vegetation projects, events coordination and nursery assistance.

In 2001 Corrie was one of the founding members of the Brisbane Branch Volunteer Fundraising committee, and in 2002 became Vice-President. Since 2003 she has held the position of Branch President. Corrie joined the State Board in July 2004. Corrie has volunteered within the RSPCA in a number of roles, including foster care.

Her passion is animal welfare in general, however she has a strong focus on farm animals, having spent several years in a rural community witnessing first-hand the indifference frequently shown to production animals. She also has a keen interest in wildlife.

Corrie shares her home with a dog, two cats and several birds.
