Campaign receives Voiceless grant
RSPCA Qld, in collaboration with Animal Liberation Qld and Associate Professor Barry Spurr of the University of Sydney and his colleagues at Animal Liberation NSW, was recently awarded a highly coveted grant from Voiceless to launch a new campaign, “Say No to Animals in Circuses”. The campaign will seek to raise awareness of the unnatural conditions that circus animals endure, including continual transportation and confinement.
The grant will primarily fund a dedicated campaign website, from which campaign supporters will be able to sign an online petition and download fact sheets. Campaign materials will also be distributed throughout Queensland and New South Wales.
The campaign will be launched soon. In the meantime, please visit http://www.animalcircuses.com/ to register to receive news about the campaign to ban the use of exotic animals in circuses.
