For Adoption we are Closed on Mondays, but open Tuesday through to Sunday 9am to 4pm The Fairfield shelter is situated on the site of the headquarters of RSPCA Queensland. As well as being an animal shelter and adoption centre, the site also includes the Inspectorate (incorporating Animal Ambulance), Veterinary Services (incorporating Foster Care and Cruelty Case Enrichment), Call Centre (incorporating Lost and Found Service), Volunteer Services, Animal Training Centre and administration, including fundraising and community relations. The Fairfield shelter has a farmyard as well as adoption, rehabilitation and training facilities, a desexing clinic and the Violet Gentles Fauna Ward, Bird Hospital and Aviary, named in memory of a bequest donor. The RSPCA has plans to rebuild the Fairfield shelter, which has served the Society for almost half a century.
