Dr Andrew Tribe - Vice-President

Dr Andrew Tribe has been Senior Lecturer in Animal Behaviour and Management in the Schools of Veterinary Science and Agriculture and Food Sciences at the University of Queensland for the past twelve years. From 1992 to 1998 he was Director of the University's Veterinary Science Farm and prior to this was the Senior Veterinarian at the Royal Melbourne Zoological Gardens.

Dr. Tribe has worked with companion animals and wildlife for the past 25 years, both in Brisbane and previously in Melbourne, and is actively involved in the teaching and research of animal behaviour and welfare. He recently completed a research project to investigate perceptions of the role of zoos in wildlife conservation and is also involved in investigating the rehabilitation and release of native wildlife, as well as animal welfare research projects studying the effectiveness of environmental enrichment in improving animal management and husbandry. 

Other interests of Dr. Tribe's include the ongoing development of a research programme to investigate aspects of the behaviour and welfare of companion animals.
