Corrie has worked in administration roles throughout her career, mostly with Government. For a brief period Corrie worked in conservation, both voluntary and paid positions, with the then Australian Littoral Society in a variety of roles, including re-vegetation projects, events coordination and nursery assistance.
In 2001 Corrie was one of the founding members of the Brisbane Branch Fundraising committee, and in 2002 became Vice-President. Since 2003 she has held the position of Branch President. Corrie joined the State Council in July 2004.
Her passion remains animal welfare in general, however she has a strong focus on farm animals, having spent several years in a rural community witnessing first-hand the indifference sometimes shown to production animals. She also has a keen interest in wildlife.
